Wines Feudi del Pisciotto
"Wine is a mixture of light and earthy humors..."
Galileo Galilei
Feudi del Pisciotto is an old manor with 49 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG area, and a point of reference for wine lovers, thanks to wines that have won prizes all over the world. The wine Linea's Feudi del Pisciotto combines excellent quality wine with the beauty of labels. L’Eterno, pinot noir in its purest form and the Grand Vin of the winery, is the symbol of the quality of the wine making project of Feudi del Pisciotto, and its commitment to social issues.
The Feudi del Pisciotto winery combines respect for tradition and nature with the most modern technology, and produces around 400,000 bottles with 16 different labels. At Feudi del Pisciotto, the union between ancient and modern is also celebrated by bringing back the old wine making process that only uses the force of gravity for moving the must. In fact, the grapes are picked by hand in the vineyard, and after further sorting and removal of the stalks, they slide into the vats in the Winery, moved by the force of gravity. This saves energy and limits carbon dioxide emissions, but above all, it prevents the deterioration of the raw material that would take place if oenological pumps were used to move the grapes.

The Terroir
The wine making process of Feudi del Pisciotto is based on the philosophy of the master Italian winemaker Giacomo Tachis, according to which the “terroir of Sicily allows any type of vine to be grown successfully, with the right knowledge”.
The labels of Feudi del Pisciotto are the result of the genius of Tachis and the skills of his heir apparent, Alessandro Cellai, wine maker and Managing Director of the winery together with resident wine maker Marco Parisi. And Feudi del Pisciotto owes its 100% Pinot Noir known as L’Eterno, which has been in production since the 2011 harvest, to one of Tachis’ intuitions.
The excellence of the wines of Feudi del Pisciotto is the result of careful study, passion and dedication. The wine is produced with respect for nature and in line with the principles of sustainability. The indigenous and international vines are grown with care and love to guarantee a finished product of the highest quality.
The Wine Maker
Alessandro Cellai
When Tachis named Alessandro Cellai his heir apparent, he allowed him to make use of the experience of 50 years of harvests, which led to the Italian Winemaking Renaissance. Alessandro was nominated best young wine maker in Canada, and in other countries, seven years in a row, and he also personally deals with company’s exports to many different countries, including the United States and Russia.
Feudi del Pisciotto makes use of the invaluable professional skills of Marco Parisi as a resident wine maker. Marco took a degree in wine growing in Marsala, specialized in Asti and did a postgraduate Master’s Degree in Lisbon. After gaining experience on an international level, he joined Alessandro Cellai’s team, and put his experience in South Africa into practice in a project to recover indigenous Sicilian vines, among other things.
